Current Session – Outdoor Strength & Balance

About the Class

Together, we go through a good mobility warm-up, exercises for lower body strength, upper body strength, and balance. We avoid strenuous exercises and focus instead on a good level of challenge and safe exercises that will help you to feel great. This session, we’re putting extra focus on the use of bands for strength training.

Schedule

Tuesdays and Thursdays 9 AM945 AM

August 25 – October 1, 2026

Location

The Adachi Pavilion at Dinner Bay Park

Cost

  • $100 for the series (12 classes), or $10 drop-in. Funding through the Mayne Island Parks and Recreation Commission has ended, but bursaries are available for anyone who finds the cost of the classes to be a challenge.

What to Bring & Weather

Dress for the weather and bring water. If you have your own walking poles, you are encouraged to bring them. If it’s raining, we move under cover into the Adachi Pavilion. Classes are only cancelled for a wind warning.

How To Sign Up

Equipment is limited, so early sign-up helps. Email Tim to reserve a spot or to ask any questions about the class.

What Participants Say

Exercising has never been my favorite, exercising as in classes, but I’ve certainly found Tim’s classes have brought up my level of consciousness. Classes have been great and encouraged more at home stretching etc. I’m certainly looking forward to the next class.
